SUMMARY:Clay and Cuisine from Japan's Great Lakes Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Clay and Cuisine from Japan’s Great Lakes is one of two MSSSB-sponsored Clay Around Town exhibitions held in conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference in Detroit. \nGuests will also be able to enjoy green tea and saké (21+) from Shiga served in handmade artisanal pottery inspired by Shigaraki ware (a well-known and loved style of pottery from Shigaraki\, Shiga\, Japan). The green tea will be served with a special menu. \nGuests can also enjoy a pottery display by artists inside the shop. Sales are limited to the duration of the Clay and Cuisine from Japan’s Great Lakes Reception (March 26 from 6pm – 9pm). \n\nLOCATION: Soraya\nDATES: Tuesday\, March 24 – Thursday\, March 26\, 2026\nHOURS: (On view during typical restaurant hours)\n\nTue – Thu: 12 PM – 2:30 PM (lunch) & 4 PM – 9 PM (dinner)\n\n\n\nInformation about parking location and validation can be found on the Soraya website.

DESCRIPTION:Breeze Over the Lakes is one of two MSSSB-sponsored Clay Around Town exhibitions held in conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference in Detroit. \nThis exhibition features ceramic artists from Japan and the United States\, all inspired by Shigaraki ware\, a celebrated tradition of Japanese ceramics.
