Clay and Cuisine from Japan’s Great Lakes Exhibition

Clay and Cuisine from Japan’s Great Lakes is one of two MSSSB-sponsored Clay Around Town exhibitions held in conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference in Detroit.
Guests will also be able to enjoy green tea and saké (21+) from Shiga served in handmade artisanal pottery inspired by Shigaraki ware (a well-known and loved style of pottery from Shigaraki, Shiga, Japan). The green tea will be served with a special menu.
Guests can also enjoy a pottery display by artists inside the shop. Sales are limited to the duration of the Clay and Cuisine from Japan’s Great Lakes Reception (March 26 from 6pm – 9pm).
